Question: Does your SO have complete control over the money they earn or do you get to spend it like it's yours too (ex. using the credit card, signing checks, etc.)?

Is your SO's money THEIR money? Do you get to say how it gets spent?
Of course I get a say...I'm part of this marriage to and for the most part I handle the money....
He makes it, I spend it.
He makes the money, but we dont spend on random things like clothes or something unless we consult the other.
I am a SAHM so it is OUR money & we both have access to it.We also both discuss big purchases before we spend, but I dont ask him if I can buy small things, but I do tell him what I buy when I get home.

I voted other. I handle the money in our household. I did when we were both working. I did when I was a SAHM. And I do now that he is a SAHD. If it were the other way around, we would have a bunch of stuff we didn't need and the bills would be past due. LOL. DF cannot manage money to save his life!!!
My SO is irresponsible with money and he knows it, so he hands over his check when he gets it and after cashing it, I give him money for the pay period.
