Shoe did/does your 1 year old wear?

DS has learned to walk, and I am having a helluva time finding shoes to fit those big chunky meatloaf feet! lol

I have no idea what size range to even start looking at....they all seem to be tight around the top, or I am unable to fit his foot in there at all. :-(

I went and had my daughter fitted at a real shoe store for her first pair - costly but worth it.  My daughter had a wide foot (so she needed the wide size) and a high instep (so she needed a high shoe with laces), they were Stride Rite.  Sounds alot like your son.

i had to buy my son special ones at stride rite just to fit his fat little feet, at that time he wore a size 5

wow my 14 month old is still wearing a size 3!!! she has short chunky feet, i found these cute shoes at target that have a velcroe strap in the back to make them lose, and 2 velcroe straps on the top so i get a good fit for her.

I could find ( or afford) shoes for my son other then slippers his foot was wide and fat! Now he is 18 just bought his own shoes for the first time and was balking at the cheap ones being $70! He is in a 15.5

 My little boy is two almost three right now and he wears a size 7. When he was a year old I think he was a 4 or 5.

Get some robeez..on sale at BABY GAP right now.. try a 5.. but its a good idea to go to a pricey store like stride rite and get sized at least.

same with mine, he is in a 7.5wide.  My DD is 4 1/2 and only wears a 9
