Do people really do this!

On my facebook, a friend of mine updated her pictures, she has a picture of her 2 week old son in a bumbo chair, with her hand around his neck to hold his head up, and she is feeding him a huge spoonful of cereal.  I havent said anything on the picture because enough people have commented on it, but do people really think its okay to feed a child cereal when he cant even hold his head up?

I spoon fed my daughter cereal when she was 3 wks old. That was 15 yrs ago and she survived. My mother also sppon fed me and all 6 of my siblings between 3 - 4 wks and we all made it.

Its VERY popular here in TN where i live. Everyone thinks it will make them full so they will sleep longer.  Babies are even given white gravy and grits.

Never did that with any of my boys though.

I am your average everyday, former upstate NY'er, now living in TN....Harley riding ,crazy,pro-porn,strip club,Hooters for husbands type of wife and older mom of 3 boys.

See 8 children perfectly fine !  What's your problem ?  OH maybe it is all the other situations that people seem to not be able to ignore.  Obviously the doctors are manipulating us as parents to make our babies suffer.  Because there is nothing else in the world that we could give them.  Formula and breast milk are obviously poison.

I know that it was popular back in the day, but I didnt think people did it now with all the information available.

Yes I am !  I am in a weird mood.  I love to roll in sarcasm every now and then.

well arent you just a rosey ray of sunshine today laughing

Quoting MoonNStars:

Yes they do !  But it their kid so shut your hole and mind your own damn business.  Oh and don't forget to be supportive of the idiot when it backfires on them and their child chokes or ends up with horrible allergies.  It was obviously no ones fault because the information is not all over the internet and in every baby book at the library where the books are FREE !  So shut up you obnoxious b*tch and take care of your own brat !
