how do I get rid of them?

Ok ladies. Be nice. Help me out. I have horrible charlie horses in my calf on my right leg. It hurts so bad I can't sit still. How do I get rid of it and how do I stop it from coming back. Seems like several times a day I get a horrible muscle cramp but this is way way worse.

Stay hydrated, when you get one get up and walk and put a hot wet washcloth on it. I use to get them and ankle cramps so bad and the hot washcloth seems to help

Ok going to go try that. I can literally WATCH the muscle knot up and get tight.

I know it's crazy but EVERY time I eat a banana I get leg/foot cramps at night. Guess I'm weird lol

 could it be from lack of potassium??  maybe eat a banana a day??

I appreciate the advice but the banana thing is really a myth. A banana doesnt have a significant amount of potassium in it. I used to believe the same thing.

Eat more bananas. And when they happen, stand up, and act like your trying to stand on your tip toes on the leg with the cramp. This pulls the muscle and will make the cramp stop quicker.
