Would you have a problem with Islamic values, laws, and restrictions influencing the laws and culture of America?

If you answer "yes", do you have a problem with Christian values, laws, and restrictions influencing the laws and culture of America?

 Religious doctrine shouldn't dictate/influence law...

Exactly.  Yes I would have a problem with it, and yes I have a problem with Christian influences that are happening now.

I fully agree.  But I wonder if sometimes people miss the contradiction.

in both cases it would depend on which values were influencing things.  i distrust just about all organized religion and don't think it should even come in to the coversation when talking about law or government policy.

i don't think religion should influence law-making.  i would be no happier about islamic law influencing american law than i am about christian law influencing it now.
