Help lost dog!

Our dog ran out the gate and he's been missing for about 3 hrs.  My DD and I walked around asking if anyone had seen him.  We're about to go drive around.  I posted on facebook and craigslist.  Where else should I post/look?  I'm assuming shelters are out until tomorrow.  My oldest DD will be checking this post for answers as she waits at home in case he comes back.  Please, we're desperate.

call your local police department. I found a lost dog once and it was after hours for the apl and pound. I called the local police dept and the woman that lost it had reported him missing. We met at a gas station and I gave her her dog back :)

call all the vets in your area, I've taken found dogs to the nearest vet before and they've offered to keep them until the shelter is open.  Often shelters will have an emergency number if they are closed, call it.  Also the police department often pics up loose animals as well, call them too.

Make up posters and distribute them around town?  That is all I can think of.  BUMP!
