Rental Help.....

I found a neighborhood I'm in love with!! My only problem was there was no house for sale that would fit my family. Good news is I found a rental that will fit us until a house for sale comes up that would better accommodate us. Well we were told the house was going to be repainted and then the landlords back out...grrrrr. They said I could paint if I want to suck up the cost but I can't touch their ugly, ripped, food ridden wallpaper. I just want to know if anyone has any ideas on how to cover it up without harming it.

can you hang material from the walls to cover it and look like wallpaper

I would rip it down and then clean the walls and paint them.

Wood panels over them would probably work if you like the look

Believe me I want to so badly but I can't! The landlord said not to touch it. In my agreement it says I can't alter anything unless I get permission. SUCKS because its shitty!

I would not do that as they can make you pay for it. I know It sounds like you are making it better and all but they can make life hell when you move out. And you might need them when you go to buy a house.
