My ex joined The National Guard back in January and has already gone through his basic training and the other training. He graduated in June. He told me he was going to be deployed but I guess he isn't now. So my question is will he get paid while he is waiting to be deployed or does he have to find a job now??? (Asking because of child support I really need to be getting it every month so I desperatley need to know this info)

He needs a job. He doesn't get paid full pay unless he is on Active Duty.

If he is not on orders he will not be getting paid. Only from his one weekend a month, which is probably not going to be much.

he is only gonna get paid the 1 weekend a month he drills. which is like $200 maybe. he is gonna have to get a regular civilian job until he deploys. unless he gets lucky and can pick up some extra hours at the unit. he mite wanna ask if they can put him on orders at the unit. that is what my husband is doing right now since he can't find a regular job right now.
