Blood clot after IV

I have a blood clot in my hand now after having the IV when I had my son. That was almost 8 weeks ago that I had it and it was in for less than 24 hours. Has anyone else had this and what did they do for it? The thing friggin hurts and it seems like its getting bigger. I have a dr. appt tuesday and I'm gonna ask the doc about it again then. But any tips or anything would be appreciated.

ibuprofen and warm compresses are probably the best you can do between now and your appt. - hope the dr helps you out! ((HUGS))
