I'm from ks and my friends who are CNAs all  make between 7 to 11 a hour. Well, the ones who can find jobs.

I live in IL, and haven't worked for over a year now.  What I made depended on what shift I worked.  2nd and 3rd shift made 50 cents more an hour and weekends were a dollar more an hour.  I think my base pay was around $10-10.50, but I can't remember.  I worked there for 3 years, and I started out lower than that, but got raises every 6 months.  $8.25 seems really low, even if you are just starting.

I made the same in AR (8.25) but got .50 uniform an hour and $100 incentive if I wasn't late during the pay period. So it was usually 8.75/hr plus an extra $100 on the check (about $630 on pay day)

I haven't worked in a year. I made 9.00 an hour working 7pm to 7am at a hospital, and 8.50 an hour at docter's offices. I live in ky.

in ND i worked at a long term care facility and started out at $11.75 plus got $1 per hour shift differential working 2pm-10:30pm so I actually made $12.75 that was starting too. However I worked there for like 2 months and got fired when my kids had hand foot and mouth disease...Im still angry about that!

I'm not a CNA, but I work with several :)

Where I work, most are NST's so they have training with CNA work with patients and they also do the desk work, like charts and answering phones.

The NST's I work with make $13+/ hr....

I live near the Twin Cities MN
