What is wrong with him?

My 16 y/o son throws up EVERY morning!!!  This has been going on for over 2 months now.  When it initially started, he would throw up and feel sick until about 3pm, then he was fine.  We've taken him to our regular dr at least every other week (sometimes more than once a week).  We've taken him to 2 different specialists.  He ended up in the ER at one point.  He's had and endoscopy, colonoscopy, numerous blood tests and a CT scan.  He's been on I think 10 different prescriptions...no one knows what's going on!!  We are currently waiting for results to see if he has H Pylori.

Has anyone been through anything like this?  Any suggestions?  I feel so terrible for him :(

Is he eating enough before he goes to bed?

The only time that happens with mine is if they don't eat much for dinner the night before.

I'm sorry I can't be more help.

I did this through my teen years except I did it every night. For me, it was the specific food I was eating. My body couldn't tolerate them.

OP..what have the doctors ruled out with all the tests they've done?

Gall bladder. I did the SAME THING when I was 14. Make sure he gets a hyda-scan. I could be butchering the spelling, but it's a nuclear medicine test. They missed it on ultra sound. My gallbladder randomly STOPPED functioning. When they removed it, it was functioning at, get thisk, 3%, THREE PERCENT.

But, it was no big deal. Had it out on friday, back to school on monday. True, I wore sweat pants for a week, but it was still totally no big deal.

Alternatively, I did the same thing when I was 11... but for a different reason. I was under so much stress that, at eleven, I actually got an ulcer. It was causing me to vomit. I hated being at school because I was teased so ruthlessly. Maybe he's having trouble at school and the stress has caused either a physiological reaction, OR he's gotten an ulcer, as well. Has he had an upper GI done, with barium?

So far they have ruled out gall bladder probs (although we haven't done a hyda scan like a PP said).  They have ruled out appendicitis, ulcers, tumors, GERD....every test we've done has come back normal.  The only thing the endoscopy showed was that the entrance to his stomach is red and inflamed (well, yeah, he's been throwing up daily!).  He's currently taking strong antacids to try and help the inflammation.  He's also on strong antibiotics to rule out a "hidden" infection or parasites.  He's tried eating later at night and not eating late at night.  He's tried eating first thing in the morning, he just throws it up.  If he doesn't eat first thing in the morning, he still throws up, just stomach acid or dry heaves.
