I was just reading an interesting article on 10 signs of evolution in modern humans. One thing mentioned was "Darwin's Point". Only about 10% of the population still has it, I'm part of the 10%. Photo examples:


"Darwin’s point is found in the majority of mammals, and humans are no exception. It is most likely used to help focus sounds in animals, but it no longer has a function in humans. Only 10.4% of the human population still has this visible left-over mark of our past, but it is possible that a much larger number of people carry the gene that produces it as it does not always cause the ear tubercle to appear. The point (shown in the picture above) is a small thick nodule at the junction of the upper and middle sections of the ear."

So, does anyone else have this? I'm just curious!

 i dont have it. but that also reminds me of how some earlobes are attached to the face and some arent... mine and my kids and my husbands arent. i heard that if your father's are attached yours will be, but im not sure if thats true.

Yeah, that is strange! My DH and I both have attached ear lobes, DD's aren't attached. But, neither are my mom's or his dad's.

 I have that on the inside of both my ears. I passed it to both my son and daughter too.
