Can interview a child, without getting consent from a parent if they don't have a court order?

i am pretty sure in ANY state , IE if the school calls and they go up to the school they can talk to teh child without you being notified first.

yes cps anywhere can interview a child without parental consent...all they need to do is show up at the child's school.

I agree with the others . . . CPS can and will interview a child at school without parental knowledge or consent.

Technically there is no legit reason. The report isn't on my child, but for some reason they are trying to bring my child into it.

I think that can be performed in all states.  The goal of CPS is to protect the rights of the child.  It's kind of hard to do that if mom and dad won't consent to an interview isn't it?

I would think they could! I mean it doesn't make sense that they would they would warn the parent first and then if they are doing something bad they can tell them kids to lie. KWIM? They want to hear what the kid has to say not what the parent tells the kid to say.
