I don't get the outrage...

I don't get the outrage of the investigation around the "Sister Wives" family. They are breaking the Utah state law, just by co-habitating in the way they do. They should have known this before they made a TV show, and should have expected an investigation.

When you live a lifestyle that is not legal what else would they expect??

I totally agree with you. I watched the premiere and barely made it through it. Serves them right for putting their illegal lifestyles on tv like that.

Utah’s bigamy statute

A person is guilty of bigamy when, knowing he has a husband or wife or knowing the other person has a husband or wife, the person purports to marry another person or cohabits with another person. ... It shall be a defense to bigamy that the accused reasonably believed he and the other person were legally eligible to remarry.

(Utah Code: 76-7-101)

Why is it a big deal? Because its against the law?

I don't get the outrage is what I am saying... They are living illegally, and are all surprised when the police investigate...

That would be like a meth dealer having a reality TV show, and being surprised when they get investigated for dealing drugs!
