My oldest-she's 8.5 yrs old. I'm currently shopping, or starting to shop for Christmas and I honestly have to say that this is the first year that I am stuck as to what to get her.

She will be 9 on Jan. 11th.

What would you get for your almost 9 yr old?

I've gotten her like 3 pajama sets by Calvin Klein and a Guess jacket.

But I'm not sure what type of toys to get her. We just went through her clothes to weed out all the small clothes and we will next go through all of her toys (and there's a lot!)

Any suggestions?

Oh, and no littlest pet shops-she has a zillion of those things.

**Additional info**

My daughter does have a digital camera, Wii, DS, and ipod. She also hates shopping...And I bought her crafty things last Christmas and they are still unopened in a drawer :(

She's not allowed to have a cell phone until she's about 10-12

Oh, and nothing snow related, we live in Sunny Tampa Bay, Fl.

This is so frustrating, lol

Gift cards, always an easy and great gift for that age.

Are you willing to get her a game system or if she has one, get her a new game for it?

Does she have an iPod?  They have one that's about $50 and then you or others can get her iTunes gift cards.

It's tween time.  My almost ten year old DD wants an IPod Nano, or a digital camera, or a cell phone (hell, no!) and an Eminem CD (Um, hell no again), Katie Perry (ugh, but probably), a make up trunk (she can't wear makeup outside, but I let her play with it), accessories (scarves, hats, fake glasses, chunky bracelets), a new sled and toys for the cats.

They like crafty things, too.  Anything they can glue beads onto, Bedazzlers, knitting crafts, art supplies, a kids cook book.  {sigh} I'm going to miss 9!

Spa Day? Get her hair done, mani/pedi. Lunch and movie with mom? I used to love those days with my mom.
