Im  very short and small framed at barely 5'0 and 120lbs. I tried the  ERGO and even with the straps pulled AS TIGHT AS POSSIBLE it still hangs on me.   the shoulder straps just fall off. So i need something that works better. I have a ultimate baby wrap which is like a moby but i have to give that back to its origional owner here soon. SO  i need something thats sturdy to carry bigger children and  that doesnt have much in the way of buckles and that distributes weight evenly.... anyone  have some advice?

I really like ring slings because they are sooo adjustable.  They are really easy to sew too.  You just need to get the right rings.  www.slingrings.com sells them.  You don't want to use just any ring because they need to be very strong.  I made my sling and it works very well.

Moby wrap! I'm 5"4' and 115 and I've worn both my kids in my moby--DD until she was 15 mos :)

Or a mei tai. Those also work well for older kids.

The Lovey Duds wrap! Just like the moby only cuter and softer, organic, and only $45! She can custom make a length as well so it's not so long and hard to tie.

best of all you are supporting s stay at home mom ;)

I bought one for myself and my sil. They are ridiculously soft and amazing!!

What?!? They're like $80 if you order them online! I'm definitely telling all my expecting and new mommy friends.

On a side note, I'm disappointed target stopped carrying Bum Genius cloth diapers.
