I guess I just don't understand. Dh joined earlier this year and now he is bent out of shape over not attending meetings. There is a huge meeting next month and it will be all day. I will have to request off work...and he wants me to attend the banquet. It wasn't my choice to join...why do I have to atttend? Do you do stuff with him? Do you support him?

my dads a mason, and from what I remember he never missed a meeting unless he was sick..my dad is a 33* and was the secretary I believe for um..crap I forget the name lol..but he had to be there..my mom always went when they had a banquet, she supported him and was part of the....crap I'm drawing a blank but there's a name for the wives to join that's part of the masons...my dh isn't one so I personally don't have experience as a married woman with it, just remembering my parents doing it, and my brother and I attend some of the banquets too ^_^

My hubby is a freemason. I support him fully. Maybe you should learn more about it from him. Ask him why it means so much to him. Go and check it out. Then if you don't like it, don't go next time.
