CANDY = VOMIT?

Can candy or too much sugar cause a child to vomit?  I really do not give much sweets at all but of course being the holiday she had more than she ever has had anow she is sick and vomiting?  She has had a persistent cough but no fever and no lethargy just a cough.

Do you think the vomit is just too much sugar related or should I take her to the pediatrician?

YES! They can throw up from eating too much candy. I wouldn't worry about it unless there is also a high fever, and/or it doesn't stop (the puking).

It's amazing how people don't hold themselves to the standards they set for others.

 Have you never eaten so much of something that you feel sick or vomit?

Yes, eating too much candy, like eating to much of nything, can make you sick.

oh yeah. Too much candy especially if they are not used to it = upset tummy = vomit.

Not sure about the cough. My son has had one for 2 weeks, I am taking him to a doc tomorrow.

 DD did on Friday night. Way too many cookies and candies and sugar from the preschool Halloween party...she was fine when she woke up yesterday morning.

I have eaten candy to the point where it's made me feel sick.  It could definitely make her barf. :/

Also, a persistant cough can cause vomiting, too.  I have seen my DD get to coughing hard enough where she has thrown up.  It could be a combo of the sweets and the cough...if she has a bellyache from the candy, and is coughing.  Yeah.  Puke city.  Hope she feels better!
