Has your child ever told you that they see flashing lights in their head?

I brought my 4 year old son to the doctor for the second time on Thursday because he has had a cold for three weeks. A day or two before that he told me that his head and eyes were "blinking" I thought maybe it was his sinuses but the doctor said that his sinuses are not developed enough to have a sinus infection. The doctor said that it was rare for a kid his age to have headaches and to keep track of the "blinking" A little while ago, I saw him grab his head and he told me his head was flashing colors. I gave him ibuprofen and gave him a drink and he said it was all better. I am trying not to freak out here but flashing lights in his head scares the shit out of me. I am going to call the doctor Monday morning.

Have you ever had your child tell you that they see flashing lights in their head?

I just read that some people see flashing lights when they have a migraine. Can a kid that little have migraines?

I'm not sure why your Dr. thinks a 4 yaer old can't have a sinus infection.  I teach preschool and I have kids that age go to the Dr. and get diagnosed with them this time of year alot.

Small kids can have Migraines.  It's not common but it does happen.

I get weird vision when I have migraines. Its possible that he is having migrains. I would definitely get it checked out asap because small children don't usually get migraines from my understanding. GL momma update when u can!
