I put credit cards & utilities in my child's name!

Well i didnt, but my neighbor was telling me about how her best friend has her electricity in her DDs name. My other neighbor has really bad credit... she has a buy here pay here car(which i never heard of until i moved here) and her whole house is furnished from rent-a-center.. so she decided when she wanted a credit card to try to get in in her DS's name.. and she did.

You you ever do that? I think parents are supposed to be protecting their child's identity. Not use it.

I think it is totally wrong and there shoild be laws against it if there isnt already.

never because if the bills dont get paid then your children will have bad credit and never will be able to get a car house loan etc...

When that child gets older and goes to apply for credit, she can file charges against the mother for using her name and SS number. We did that to my husband's mother, she used his SS to get utilities.
