any help with endo?

the docs think I have endo embedded inside my uterus in the scar tissue  from my c-section. I have a lump about the size of a quarter maybe a bit smaller when it is not swollen. They tried progesterone birth control but it did not help. My question is on the 17th of this month I am having surgery and am wondering what to expect like what is the likely hood of them taking my uterus and how long is the healing time. the only thing the doc said was that he was going to try to cut around it to get it out....any advice would be great

I have stage 3 going into stage 4 endo (the worst is 5).  I'm a pro at this shit LOL j/k.

If you have it in your scar tissue most likely what they'll do is MAYBE have to reopen your uterus up and clean our the scar tissue. I don't see them taking your uterus out without your consent. Read up on scar removal.

Are they planning a laparoscopy or a open abdominal surgery?

ask lots of questions but do research yourself.

Ask them what type of surgery are they wanting to do

1. a laparscopy or open abdominal

2. what is their plan of action is after the surgery is done to prevent it

3. do they plan on removing your uterus

4. will they remove it against your will

5. what is the estimated recovery time (and add another week to it)

6. are they worried about any other issues such as tumor, fibroids, cysts, etc.

7. do they plan on cleaning out your endo further with a D&C

just questions like that.

If you don't get an answer to each question or they are very closed off with you; consult another doctor.

Trust me. I had to go through 3 different doctors and 3 laparscopys and 2D&C's before I found a good doctor to treat my endo.
