should I make my boys buy this with thier own money?

Last night my mom was babysitting while I was at school. When I got home I found my daughters favorite booked ripped in half. I was pissed and asked my kids what happened and found out the my oldest son (11) dared my younger son (9) to break her book and he did. I think my boys should have to buy her a new book with their own money. They of course disagree.

What do you think?

Oh and the book is Goodnight Moon so it's not much money.

Of course they should.  Why would you think the children's beliefs were correct?

I agree, they destroyed it. They need to buy a new one. Its not like they didnt know it was wrong.

i think they should.. They had no right to ruin something that wasn't theirs just because of a dare.

yes, they need to learn that it's not OK to destroy their sister's things.
