is there anyway you can rid or breakup kidneystones yourself to pass them?

I HAVE THEM AGAIN AND DMT WANT TO HAVE SURGERY AGAIN.STARTED WALKING AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER.CAN A REGULAR DR.GIVE ME SOMETHING FOR THIS OR DO I HAVE TO GO TO A UROLOGIST.DONT THEY HAVE MEDS TO DISOLVE STONES.

I have them to. All my Doctor told me to do is drink allot of fluid. Which isn't doing anything.

yes they give you medicine for it. but if they already gave you medicine and it didn't work then you would prob just have to have surgery.

I always get kidney stones, ever since I was pregnant. I drink double the daily recommended amount of water, 100% cranberry juice, meaning if it taste good its not 100% its cranberry cocktail and isn't helping. I also watch my calcium intake, thats what cause my kidney stones. Drinking tons of water helps flush them out. About once a year though I end up in the e.r. from extreme pain from passing a stone. It usually happens when I slack on my drinking water.
