if you do not do direct deposite, have you been able to cash the check without your dh present??

If both your names are on it..........you both have to sign it.

I don't know who would cash it.

I did last year. He signed ahead of time, but I had to go into the bank and show ID.

 Its been years, but the one time we got a check, my DH tried to go without me, and  they wouldnt do it.

its been a few years, but in the past as long as both of us had signed it, one of us could go alone to cash it. but like i said its been a few years since we had a check w/both our names on them.

you shouldn't need his id at all. if he signs it and you go to your bank than you should be able to cash it. if you go to a check cashing place or something like that i'm not sure.

He signed, and I had MY ID. I went to our bank.....that we had an account with. I think that had something to do with it. Why don't you call the place you want to cash it ahead of time?
