MARANA, Ariz. -- A gust of wind picked up a bounce house with two girls playing inside Saturday, dumping one girl in the yard but carrying the other two houses away and dropping her onto a roof.

The incident in the town of Marana left a 10-year-old with serious head lacerations and other injuries. She was taken to a trauma center in Tucson after firefighters got her off the roof.

Northwest Fire District spokesman Adam Goldberg says the two girls were at birthday party when what family members called "a microburst" picked up the bounce house.

The 10-year-old was carried more than 100 feet before falling out onto the house. Her 7-year-old friend had minor injuries.

OHHH no.  That had to have been terrifying for everyone.  Poor thing is going to have a phobia for the rest of her life.

This was my biggest childhood fear. Because I'm autistic I actually fixated on this fear all throughout my childhood! My parents always thought I was neurotic.
Pffffft... Who's neurotic now? I'm so showing this to my parents! Ha!!!! Thanks for the validation! Lol

They probably did but a micro burst would have torn it up regardless.:(

Aren't those things usually tethered in to the ground?
