My girlfriend's weird medical problem

My girlfriends belly button bleeds. A lot. She wears an under shirt and a t shirt to work and it bled through both. She's been to a couple doctors and a specialist and they've all said different things. 2 only addressed symptoms from it, like it was infected and then she had a hernia. One doctor said she was wired wrong, but I don't know what they called it. We went back to the doctor a couple of weeks ago because it was oozing and he said it was infected. She got Bactrem for it. But it's driving me crazy trying to figure out what it is and trying to look into the surgery she needs for it. Does anyone have any idea? We're trying to get back into the specialist soon, but I need to make sure she listens to EVERYTHING he says, because due to the law I'm not allowed back there with her.

Could it be a cellulitis? That's an infection under the skin - it might have to be surgically drained and then left open (packed with gauze) to heal. My husband had one last year.

my ds used to have that happen. Didn't bleed alot but his doctor said he had a hernia which he did when his umbilical cord stump fell off.

If she gives permission you should be allowed to go back with her. I have had to do this when I have went to different doctors so that they could hear everything too and may catch something the doctor said that I may have missed

It's against the law because I'm only her girlfriend, we're not married yet.
The infection is a result of the bleeding, we think. She's been having this for a long time.
And she does have a hernia, that's true. But a specialist said that something is wrong in her belly, how she developed before birth. Like it's connected to something it's not supposed to be and surgery will fix it.

I didn't know that. At first, he said I had to leave, and then she said "she's my cousin, she's here for me" and he still said leave. I don't know anything about the law so I just did.

Do you know if she's developed a fistula? That could explain the external bleeding.
