Does anybody have the Cosco - Scenera 5-Point Convertible Car Seat?  I have  a Britax for my dd but we need an extra. Its on sale at WalMart for $39.99.  I was just wondering if it was worth buying?

It is a bare bones seat but it is nice!

How much does your dd weigh and do you possibly know her torso height?

it doesn't have a very high harnesses weight limit so you woudln't be able to harness much longer in it. for the price, it's a good seat but you can find a few seats that harness until 50-65lbs that aren't ridiculously priced.

Are you going to use it rear facing or forward facing?

the scenera is a GREAT back up seat...  we use one for my son as a spare, it won't last as long as many seats but it also depends on the child. My son is 2 1/2 and he's outgrown it now rear facing but he will make it to 3 years forward facing (we have the older scenera)

If you kiddo isn't using it rear facing then I might look into the Maesto instead... it's more $$ but it will last you longer.

I ask because if you are no going to use it rear facing your next cheapest alternative is The Maestro. It is a ff only seat around 80-90 dollars
