I don't CARE

My dad passed Thursday morning. We were not in contact for many years, recently having regained contact in Dec. I found a forum he frequented and his friends keep telling me he wouldnt want me, or anybody, to be sad too long. Honestly, I don't CARE that he doesn't want me to be sad. I am. Nothing can fix this. I thought I was ok but I'm not.

They are just trying to be helpful. They realize your upset. But what can someone say to help you with your loss.. nothing really.

Its okay to grive, even if your not close. My dad and i arent close at all, but i started crying when we found out he had cancer. He just got done chemo but is unsure if he needs more. Its okay to cry, he still was your father..

im sorry

of course your dad wouldn't want you to be sad.

But you need to go through your process in how to deal with this. Its okay to be sad or angry or even happy when its all done. Also okay to be selfish at this time but don't cut people out either.
