If your daycare provider called you at work and said....

***hypothetical situation***

.... "Your child has been fussy and inconsolable all day. I need you to come pick him/her up."

What would you say/do?

Keep in mind that there are any number of reasons your child could be inconsolable. Teething, colic, illness coming on, etc.

I would go get my kid. I'm sure she has other kids to deal with, and obviously mine is having a bad day for some reason.

it would depend on the age of the child & circumstance.

I would need more information. Is this a home daycare with only one care giver, or is this a daycare establishment?

for the sake of debate... lets say anywhere from infancy to 15months.

I would get my kid. Whatever the reason, the daycare provider is obviously nat able to handle his/her needs.

I think it is good that the person would let me know my child is obviously needing something they are not able to give.

I asked my day care provider to call me if he had those days.. I would get a replacement and go get him. I did have to do that. Was my boss mad yep did she get over it yep. i was a great worker that did more than my share of things around there and she respected my dedication to my kid. I guess it helped she was a mother also.

 I intentionally didn't specify.
