no drama-health insurance question

so bash away if you must, but im on state medical assistance as of right now. i just got a letter saying in  year ill be cut off(which is awesome to be off PA but scary bc i cant go without health care due to some medical problems).. where do i find out about health insurance plans? do they work like car insurance companies and have agents? i really need to find out about this because i want to be prepared in case i dont find a teaching job(preschool) with benefits..thanks ladies!

oh if it matters for insurance, im 24(gonna be 25) and have a 6 year old

Google private health insurance. I've always had insurance through a job, so I'm not sure how much you would expect to pay.

I would call Blue Cross Blue Shield, they are pretty good.  But otherwise just ask around Im sure someone will let you know whats a good company to go with.
