If you sell Mary Kay (be honest)

Are you told to approach random women in stores, and say something along the lines of "You're so beautiful, I'd love to give you a free makeover for feedback for my portfolio!"

This keeps happening to me and and every single time, the script is the same.

I tell them I'm loyal to Bare Minerals and not interested. Is this how you make sales these days?

Not bashing, just curious.

I don't sell it anymore, haven't in years but you are encouraged to approach people wherever you go and introduce the products and the free makeover tactic is a common one.   Some women do get sales this way and with job markets the way they are they will try to make as many sales as possible.  I never approached random people since I was lucky enough to have a steady client base but then they changed some of their products and I could no longer use them so I decided I could not sell something I could not testify to using myself.
