Long story short my Mom was recently sentenced for a DUI and is telling me she already got her license back. i need to find out if it is true or not because she wants to use one of my vehicles. i don't think she is telling me the truth, she has been lying alot lately.

Maybe call the DMV. Ask her to show you her ID and see when it was issued.

ask to see her DL. or the paper stating she got it back and its being mailed to her. if she doesnt show it, shes lieing... IMO.

i'd ask to see her ID but she lives an hour away and i can't get there right now. we had loaned her a vehicle a few years ago and she broke it and now wants to fix it and use it but i'm finding it difficult to trust her.

And i can't figure out how to access public records :(

Tell her to get a copy of her driving record.

Just because she has the actual DL, doesn't mean anything.  Many times they take the driving priveledge but never get the actual card.

I would call the DMV and explain the situation.

She isn't exactly being cooperative. i'm tired of being yelled at and being told what a horrible daughter i am. we also suspect she is on Meth but don't have any proof. the more i think about this i don't want to help her but she is my Mother (not that she acts like it) and i am being put in a difficult position

They can not give out info on another person.  It is against the law.

Ask her to take a pic of her DL and e-mail it to you. If she has nothing to hide she would be cooperative.
