What Influences How You Feel About A Thread/Post?

I can tell you what sometimes influences how I feel about a post.  When an op is obviously exaggerating, lying, or leaving a lot of the story out, I get irritated at the op and tend to be less sympathetic.

This is a spin off from the post about the first page of posts to a thread setting the tone for the following responses.

For me, when the story start with

"okay here's the back story"

and it's about ex boyfriends and girlfriends and he said she said. I'm usually not interested.

My feelings about a post are influenced about a person's attitude over the topic they are discussing/griping/venting about.  Also, how one sided is the vent?  These are things I check for.

Most of the time, I just look for fun posts to play around in.  But I have had my snarky days where I invade a serious post, throw out some snarky reply and then bail, LOL.

Usually I look at the screen name of the OP and can figure out what type of post it will be.

Um what I read in the post usually influences how I feel about it.

To be honest, when the post is about/involves multiple baby daddies and the op doesn't see anything wrong with that, I get a little turned off, lol.
