Say the police come to your door looking for your 17 year old son. he isn't home and you tell them so. They tell you they want to speak to him about a murder, and ask you where he was last night. Would you answer their question honestly, or wait to speak to your son?

I would  not answer, Unless I was with him all night . Then I would tract down my son get him home, call a lawyer to meet us at  the police station. Then go to the police station.

Surround yourself with people that add to your life not subtract from it.

I would answer honestly, then speak to my son and hire an attorney. He is 17, they can't interrogate him in the State of NY without us BOTH waiving Miranda.

.......Certainly, there is no hunting like the hunting of man. Those who have hunted armed men long enough & liked it never really care for anything else thereafter. You will meet them doing various things with resolve but, their interest rarely holds because after the other thing - ordinary life is as flat as the taste of wine when the taste buds have been burned off your tongue..

I would answer nothing other than "He is not home".

I would take the person's name and card as well.
