at what age did you take sippy cups away

My son will be 3 in July and I am starting to phase out sippy cups. He drinks from a cup at meal times and only ocassionaly asks for juice when we leave for daycare. He gets a sippy in the car if he asks. Other than that he really doesnt use a sippy much anymore. How old were your kids when you stopped giving sippies

 Around 3 I think a little younger for my second child. We just stopped replacing them.

My daughters (both of them) stopped using their sippy cups before turning 2.  Probably around 1 1/2.  I introduced cups early, though.

2 1/2 (this August)

My daughter has been able to drink out of a regular cup since she was 12 months old but she will purposely spill it, like lift the whole cup upside down when she's done drinking what she wants out of it.  She's a lot better at it now and so we are taking it away at 2 1/2.

My daughter gave them up before she was two.

My son is 2. He drinks from regular cups with straws at meals. For during the day he gets a straw sippy with water in it.

 My kids still use them occasionally at 3 1/2 and 5.

My youngest is 4 and she doesn't want to give them up but Monday the sippy cups are gone..she doesn't want them gone but I told her she is getting a little too old for them and it is time to drink out of big girl cups...I will let her keep the cups but the tops will be gone..they are the ones from walmart the take and go ones or something like that.

I use them w/my 4 yr old,almost 5,b/c of my 1 yr. Old.he leaves drinks laying around & she'll get them.

Depends on the kid! I have had many in my daycare and most of them are between 2 and 3.
