How much do you get and how many kids do you have?

Is it based off your ex's income?

Here is how ours is.. you put in the amount, # of kids and provence

I get $1200 a month for 3 kids. My ex's net pay is $3500 a month and he provides their health insurance.

that seems pretty reasonable

About $400/month for two kids...on a good month.  It sucks because daycare is between $800-$1200/month and I do not receive assistance.  I could get more if I went through the courts. I prefer him being involved with his kids over money...so I stay out of the courts.

My ex and I both make good money.  But, he has no "taxable income"..

I think it's reasonable, too. I don't complain but he does very often.

We have two children. He pays $250 a month.

In my state, it is supposed to be based off of his income. For two children, he would be required to pay 25% of his income. However, he was claiming to be 'unemployed' at the time of our court order so, instead, he pays about 5% of his income.

If they based it on how much he got paid before he got laid off, he would be responsible for between $625-$750 a month. Instead, they made him pay the minimum $250. They sent me a notice saying his CS had been raised by $50 but I haven't seen the extra money yet.

Why can't you have both the money you are fairly owed...and have him want to be with his kids? Has he given you the ultimatum that if you take him to court he will never see them?

Make someone happy today, mind your own business.

I have one daughter with my ex

He pays over $1600 per month for her. Plus he provides medical insurance, dental insurance, and will pay for her college education in full.

I get $250 a month (one child only) and he has to have insurance for her and life insurance on himself for her. Then we split anything else for her.
