Tired of the tantrums

My daughter turns 3 at the end of this month and her tantrums have only gotten worse which I'm sure they will. If she doesn't get her way she crys as if I just threw her down a flight of stairs and those crying rages can last for over an hour I just ignore her or go in the other room. Now today she has started litterally out of no where just screaming at the top of her lungs. She's walking around whining and screaming I'm about to go crazy... Make it stop! And if I don't ignore the tantrum it gets worse. But this screaming thing this is new did anyones kids do this?

when we are in a public place, I make sure to remove them from ANY situation immediately. If that means leaving a cart full of groceries in the store then sobeit. It works, trust me. If she's at the table, make her leave...

as for in the house.............     I went through that a little bit with my son. It took holding in the corner at times. Spankings on the butt worked for him, but didn't phase my daughter so we never really spanked her. I don't know if she's old enough for this, but since we always hated the spanking thing, my husband will have them do a wall sit until they stop freaking out. That works every time. But since she's so young I don't know if she'll even stay like that. Maybe. One of my friends has her son hold his hands above his head. Don't underestimate your child, I believe that kids should hold a lot more responsibility for the actions earlier on in life.

k, that's all I got. Hope it helps.

Mine did. She's 3 1/2 now. The 3s are WORSE than the 2s. I don't know why they call it the terrible 2s. I think it's more like the terrible 3s. You're not alone hun!
