Suicide Prevention

So... I've got this friend..we'll just call her Sally.  Sally and I have known each other for years but only keep in touch now through facebook and texting every once in a blue moon.

Sally posted on her facebook that her life will end this time next week.  Should I take that as a cry for help or just her trying to get some attention.  She has posted similar things in the past and when questioned about it she will shrug me off and say that they were just a part of song lyrics.  So should I just ignore it?

you could always call the non emergency police and have them do a well being check on her. They will make her do some evaluations and then go from there. They keep it confidencial. So maybe she will seek help, or keep her drama off facebook.

somebody who is going to commit suicide isn't going to post it on facebook.
