You're Getting Married? CONGRATS! You've been married 10 years? Oh Whatever.

Have you ever noticed this?

Someone announces they are engaged and everyone and their mother jumps up and down with 'YAY! Congratulations! I am so thrilled for you!!'

But if you are celebrating a 5th, 10th, 30th anniversary people are like, 'yeah. great. okay. whatever. good for you.'

It's like GETTING married is the accomplishment, not staying in your marriage for years.

Isn't that a little backward?

It is. With the statistics my husband and I wasn't supposed to make it our first year. Yesterday we celebrated our 5th anniversary.

I agree. My husband and I are going on 12 years next month and I feel that is quite an accomplishment for us.

So is staying married. It takes a mature relationship to make it work. LOL!

I love hearing about anniversaries!

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

"Oppression of spirit is not on the public school curriculum. Rather, it's a noxious by-product produced while stewing schooling in a pot w/ unions, administrators, multi-billion dollar budgets, state education departments, and school boards, then letting politicians control the heat." Linda Dobson

"When you want to teach children to think, you begin by treating them seriously when they are little, giving them responsibilities, talking to them candidly, providing privacy and solitude for them, and making them readers and thinkers of significant thoughts from the beginning. That's *if* you want to teach them to think." ~ Bertrand Russell
