people who cant sleep

What are some techniques that help you sleep? I never can sleep. I don't like taking pills so I haven't. I need so natural remedies to try.

Melatonin.

Other then that i got noyhin. Ive faught insomnia for 22 years and im 22 yrs old ;)

Count from 100 backwards.

Picture yourself hanging the numbers and than taking them down to put up the next ones. Sounds weird, but it works.

Reading books, doing crosswords, eating turkey (has a chemical that causes sleepiness naturally), warm milk.  A warm bath sometimes helps me relax.

Oh and I use lavender vanilla lotion from bath and body works, I have the pillow mist from there as well, and the lavender chamomille (sp) plug ins in the bedrooms.

My mom and I sometimes make hot chocolate with sleepy time tea. It usually gets me tired pretty quick! Sometimes we'll do chamomile or peppermint teas with the mixture for a different taste.
