I don't know but have you thought about talking to a nutritionist.

Treat it as a diabetic diet. Limit sugar. If she has episodes give Pb&j sandwiches...

Im hypoglycemic but I have never had a meter. I eat small meals every 2 hours and if my sugar starts gowing low I drink 1/2 a cup of soda or I eat some peanut butter or something of the like. Protien is really what helps the most

she cant tell me if her blood sugar is getting low or anything. sometimes i cant tell if her crabbiness is due to low blood sugar or just being a pain

I'm hypoglycemic and I have to make sure I have my three large meals and snacks in between.  I keep peanut butter crackers in my purse at all times.  I don't have a meter but I can feel the shakes coming on and I get sweaty and flushed and I know that it's time to get some food in me.
