Anyone have a mechanic for a s/o, or a mechanic themself? It's important.

So DH knows what part has to be changed, the heating sensor, the issue is that no one can find it! Every person I know that works on cars has looked at my mini van and can't find it. Anyone think they can help me? It's a '99 pontiac montana.

For some reason I can never find what i need on google lol. and yeah i have tried one of those books. It said it's located on the back of the thermostat...it's not there. another book on the same vehicle said on the top in the intake manifold where the hose goes in. It's not there either lol

Try calling the dealing and talking to the service dept. They have been a big help to us in the past!

I think what you mean is the temperature sensor.  check this website.    http://www.ehow.com/how_4900141_change-pontiac-montana-thermostat.html

I was thinking the same. Maybe the air temp or coolant temp sensor....
