I got ID'd for using a $50 bill

The burger king I just went thru had a sign that said ID required for larger bills. WWYD if you went to a place of business and they ID'd you for this?

I rarely have cash so this actually didn't happen but I wonder what they do with your info? Are they just making sure you are old enough? LOL or do you thinknits mainly a deterrent? Is it legal?

i have seen that places wont accept larger then a 20 or sometimes a 50 but have never seen that they would ID...

They want to know who you are just in case it comes back counterfeit.

I would just not accept the bills if it were rampant. I've never encountered a sign like that before. I was Smh!:)
