Please Offer Your Thoughts/Advice!! I don't want to ruin my 7yo daughters pride!!

My 7yo loves to sew, her work is adorable in my opinion but of course i am her mom!

She really would like to sell her work on ebay or etsy.  I am afraid her expectations will be too high and having no one purchase her work will upset her.  Especially since she is crazy about sewing! : ))

How do you think you would handle this>>?

thank you! :))

Maybe say she's too young and wait another 6 months or so for her to improve.

I would have her make things for gifts first.  That way she will have time to sharpen her skill.  Then revisit the idea next year.   Plus, with school getting ready to start, starting a "business" would take up too much time.

maybe have her agree to donate a portion of the profits to a charity or somethig. i would be more inclined to buy something that isnt the greatest looking or greatest quality made by a child knowing a portion of the procedes were going to something worthwhile

Have her keep making things and save them to sell at a craft fair next summer?

I would say no at that age. No reason to turn a hobby into a job that young.
