Very curious about this...

I have been online and in chat forums for a long time. For a while now, I have noticed that some people types two ampersands. (like this: &&) when they are typing.

For example:

"I went to the store && got bread && milk."

Why do you do this if you do?

I am just curious. Does this mean something in computer/online speak I am unaware of?

I have been active on many different forums for at least 10 years and have never seen that before.

I've never seen it. I think it means someone doesn't know how to use the '&' correctly.
