tomorrow is the Birthday of the Marine Corps ( November 10, 1775 tuns tavern ) and the Marines here are running a 4 mile formation to Chesty Puller's grave. For those that don't know Chesty is like the poster child...the most decorated Marine , the only Marine to get 5 navy crosses, and is the guy that a LOT of them look up to. When my husband found out they were running he got very very excited so I'm going along to take photos of the whole thing. once they run they are going to sing the Marine Corps Hymn and toast over the grave site!  :) i cant wait to take pics...this is def a special occasion and i cant wait to capture it on film :D

edit to add pics from today!!!----

these are of the grave

the older gentleman above with the hat on is a Korean Vet.  the guys went over and shook his hand and thanked him after they did the prayer and toast over the grave.

the Marines here at Fort Lee VA do a relay run the 63 miles there and then there is a formation run the last 4 miles. the grave site is located in Saluda VA. Here is a link and a pic from past runs.
