Deodorant... What age?

My son is 8 and he informed that he needed deodorant. I haven't smelt any BO, but I thought maybe HE does. I did buy him a stick. Seeing him put it on every morning is crazy. LOL!

My baby is growing on me!

Do you remember when your kids started using deodorant? Any other Ladies have an 8 year old using it already?

My 8 year old DD has been using it for about a year, because we started noticing BO. It really threw me for a loop! She only uses all natural deodorant though, our pediatrician said to use that as long as it works because of the links to breast cancer from some antiperspirants.

9 year old DS shows no signs yet, thankfully.

DD is 10, and this is the second year that the school required sticks on the supply list, so I guess 8/9ish is pretty normal.

I think my daughter was almost 10 when she started it.  She's almost 11 now.  I don't remember for our oldest (he is 16).  And my youngest (8) doesn't need it yet.

I wondered if I should be getting him a special kind?? Do you get the natural kind at Wal-Mart?

I guess age 8 is more common than I thought. I am still blown away, lol!
