Do you consider this nurse rude?

I was visiting someone in the hospital & we were talking about me wanting a VBAC. There was a nurse in there & this was our convo:
Nurse: do you plan to deliver here?
Me: maybe depends on where I'm living by then
Nurse: well if you do you will have to have another csection
Me: I think that's wrong, it should be the mothers choice how she wants to deliver.
Nurse: Would you CHOOSE to have a uterine rupture if so I wouldn't want you as a patient.
Me: and I wouldn't choose to have a nurse who wants to control MY delivery.

Uterine rupture is rare...

there are things that could go wrong with any method of delivery. so apparantly she wouldn't want any mother as a patient. =-P she's very rude.

She was rude, but some hospitals don't allow VBACs under normal conditions. I had to have a repeat c/s, not that I would have wanted to experience labor again, but that's besides the point.

She was just voicing the worse case scenario, I would say she was unprofessional but I wouldn't say she was being rude.

I think she was unprofessional and rude. She could have just stated the policy there of VBAC's and left out the " I wouldn't want you as a patient" comment.

She shouldnt have gotten into your conversation to begin with considering you are not her patient and it didnt concern her. A lot of hospitals are strictly NO VBAC. Which means you couldnt deliver there unless you'd accept a c-section.  i wouldn't say she was rude. just stating her opinion. some nurses come accross as harsh like that.
