how much did it cost you to adopt?

my friend says it costs between 20-40 grand...is that true?

We did foster adopt. We didn't pay anything.

My parents paid roughly 25000$ for each of my brothers and my adoption internationally in 1985 and 1986

Depends on if you are doing international domestic and of it's domestic of its with an agency or through the foster system.

she doesnt want to do that....she said she is afraid the kid will get taken away and her other kids wont be able to handle it.

If you adopt from Russia, China or other countries its roughly 35,000, sometimes more.

In the states, about 15,000.

From foster care FREE and many times you get a subsidy too, so you get money to adopr from foster care
