I went to Sylvan in high school, actually my whole algebra class did (our teacher was later fired because the parents were livid), and i had a wonderful experience.

My child has been using Kumon for a while. We liked it at the beginning. It helped my child in math calculation skills. But over time, the benefit is no longer that visible and we feel more pressure on its monthly bills. We are now using beestar. DD loves the 10 quick questions very much and it really helps kids thinking. We registered the reading and science pros recently. Pretty cool.

My kids do it. WE have been going for 4 years.  If your kids are behind in reading or math it is a slow thing to catch up but they have to get 90% to pass.  My kids hate it bc it is a every night thing.  But I notice that they are better for it.  They expect alot more then the schools.
